FIRST monarch of the season for me! I've been watching everyday since May 10th and checking milkweed for eggs. To no avail. Could not get close enough to determine sex. Checked milkweeds again but have not seen any eggs on the property. My average first date is the last few days of May through the first week in June so this year is a bit late. Latest first sighting is June 17 in 2013.
