I have Milkweed "feedlots" around my yard. The first sprouts appeared in early May, a month before my first adult Monarch, so she had good choices for her egg-laying and chose early flowerbuds. Most plants are now 3' tall, but I've seen no more Monarchs and found no more eggs...
