The common milkweed is starting to bloom now. A male monarch was flying back and forth, patrolling the milkweed patches, when another monarch appeared. He immediately gave chase and they did a little dance or fight in the air. Not sure if he was chasing another male away or trying to catch a female, but he returned alone a few minutes later.
