Date: 06/19/2016

Number: 1

10:37am from inside our hone looking through living room window observed female monarch fluttering from easterly direction toward flowers at front of house. Retrieved nearby camera & ran outside to observe her nectaring on Ceropsis, a new perrenial to our gardens. She nectared at least 30 seconds before fluttering N/E, about 2'over & past a patch of Common Milkweed & out of view. I've checked all nearby milkweed both common & swamp for eggs without success.
28c/81f mostly sunny with light southerly winds. Heat warning for today with temps to reach 31c/90. Same for tomorrow with rest of week at 80.
This is 5th monarch I have seen this spring with first sighting May 30th. Currently rearing 2 fifth Instar cats rescued as eggs June 3rd.
