They never landed long enough for to determine male or female. I saw them flying through my back pasture. I'm not aware of milkweed out there, but I certainly hope there is some! I put out seeds in the pasture over Christmas, but have not seen it come up where I planted. Fingers crossed it came up somewhere out there!
