Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/27/2016

Number: 1

With the sweet smell of milkweed in full bloom blowing in the wind, It's hard to believe I have only seen two monarchs so far this season. I have seen lots of signs of eggs hatching, so I must of had some fly bys while I was not looking. We have hundreds of milkweed at our waystation so it is hard to check them all, but today while walking through the field I found two healthy beautiful larvae that looked like they are in their 4 or 5 instar.
