I have not seen any monarchs in my yard since last summer. One "suddenly" appeared on June 22, looking like it was fresh out of a chrysalis, just gorgeous. It enjoyed the nectar from my common milkweed and cone flowers for two days and then left. I have not seen any other adults or eggs or caterpillars other than this one sighting.
