saw a few monarch caterpillars on a large cultivated grouping of milkweed plants in my yard. Pulled up a few that were in the way of the mower and upon inspection saw a couple of eggs, so I wrapped the root ends of the milkweed in wet paper towel, and am "rehabbing" the ones that would have been gotten by the mower. Last year three out of four of my raised monarchs made it to release. Here's hoping for even better results this year!
