Saw a female flying thru a milkweed patch (late morning) and she was touching the underside of some of the milkweed leaves. After she flew away I checked some of the plants I had seen her touching and counted 9 eggs. I couldn't reach all the plants because of poison ivy so she may have laid more. This was the first monarch I have seen this season and also the first eggs.
