Finally saw a monarch laying eggs on my common milkweed around my yard. She is very faded in color but other se looks healthy. Weather is hot, humidity of 65%, mostly sunny, 89 degrees feels like 91 and wind is SSW at 14 mph. This will be the third monarch this season in my yard laying eggs. I didn't find any caterpillars after I saw the first batch of eggs, but did see a few first instars from the second batch. Monarch sightings are very low this year and we are having a dry spell here, we could really use some much needed rain soon.
