Greetings from Virginia's Eastern Shore! Finally saw the first monarch of the season in our yard! It was a female and she was nectaring on our butterfly bush. She looked strong and healthy and seemed really focused! The milkweed is ready in our yard, so hopefully it won't be too long before we see eggs and caterpillars! We know they are alive and well here on the Shore as there have been many sightings from other friends close by! Yay!
