One male monarch patrolling between my common milkweed patch and my butterfly garden. Stopped only momentarily to nectar on purple coneflower at 5:30 pm. Ran to get my camera and when I returned he was gone. Waited, and he returned at 6:00pm again checked out the milkweed patch moving too quickly to photograph and then flew off. Weather was mid 70's, high humidity and extremely overcast after rain showers at 1:30 pm, skies never cleared all day.
