Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/16/2016

Number: 1

First Monarch I have seen this year in my own yard. Gorgeous female. Intent on laying her eggs. Was here for 2 hours. 2 queen butterflies were here as well, and she chased them away! She laid many eggs, going back and forth from different milkweed plants. Did not stop to eat nectar . Came back an hour later and ate nectar for milkweed and mist flower. Hard to cook supper for looking at her!
