Finally! I observed the first monarch of the season flying about Common Milkweed on 3rd Street near Harrisville State Park. It was a female. This is the latest I have seen a monarch since 2010. We have had a very cool spring and milkweed development around Harrisville was delayed. I have yet to see an egg or larva.
