Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/25/2016

Number: 2

This location is the same as where I spotted (and reported) several Monarch butterflies flitting about on 7/20/2016. Today we were searching among the numerous common milkweed plants in the field for eggs and larva, as the field unfortunately is going to be mowed later this week. Unlike a few days ago, no butterflies were spotted. The two larva and one egg that we found are being taken home to be captive-reared and (we hope) eventually released.
