Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 07/28/2016

Number: 3

Family of robins with a fledgling. I believe this family's first nest failed due to crows, blue jays and grey squirrels raiding the nest so this fledgling is either late or they had a second brood. It's a shame people don't create more cover for nesting birds. Large expanses of bare lawn covered in chemicals serve no purpose and birds are running out of areas to nest, hence the predation I witnessed.
