Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 07/31/2016

Number: 1

We have not seen the numbers that were here last year. We have seen a few eggs and a few caterpillars, but not even a half dozen monarchs this whole summer. We are also not seeing any painted ladies and only a couple of skippers. Have seen on black swallowtail and one tiger swallowtail. Very few bees, also. This whole area has been devoid of the usual pollinators. It has been a very depressing summer. Hope people are seeing them in other areas since we aren't here in Central Nebraska.
