Ruby-throated hummingbirds came early for eastern Long Island this year starting beginning of June. I have seen only two females at same time and they appear to be dull coated so I think they may be juveniles. No males sighted in three years. They are very attracted to the white butterfly bushes and move from the feeder to that & to other perennials as if they can't make their mind up what they want to eat !
