We saw 4 caterpillars on a swamp milkweed plant that we planted 3 years ago. Today(Aug 2) we can only find 2 on the August long weekend. One formed a chrysalis on one of our deck chairs. It would have had to crawled 8ft give or take to get to where it formed. The second caterpillar was on a milkweed leave this morning when we left for work at 7am had begun to turn and by the time we got home at 5:30 the chrysalis had been formed. We are watching 2 chrysalis right now and when the 10th day gets close, I hope to do a time lapse photography with my camera
