Has anyone noticed the premigration? I have seen 3 monarchs which I suspect are premigratory. The first was either 7/30 or 7/31 on our property. Flitted south on a mission past me. South past me would be toward Point Pelee's tip. Yesterday Aug 5th, 2 sightings; before noon & early evening I observed one each time flitting south across Seacliff Dr in Kingsville, Canada's most southern town, the drive being less than a mile from Lake Erie's Northshore. The lake can be seen from the Drive.
No Goldenrod or Asters in bloom here yet.
Currently rearing just under 170 various stages of monarchs.
