Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/06/2016

Number: 1

I searched through all the patches of milkweed on the east side of Castlewood Canyon State Park in Franktown, CO. While walking back to the visitor center, spotted this monarch caterpillar on a lonely, single milkweed plant along the road. It's the only monarch larva I've seen at the park in two years! Lots of damaging tussock moth activity, though.
