I have a plethora of hummingbirds actively nectaring from my flower beds and eating at and guarding 16 feeders I have out. There are males, immature birds and females. It is very hot and humid here, the birds are active from dawn to dusk, and very talkative and cute as can be. My front yard birds are much more comfortable with humans. My back yard birds are a little more stand offish. Some birds share easily, others are more aggressively territorial. Love my hummingbirds!
