I was so glad to FINALLY find five larvae on our garden milkweed! Their mother was sighted about two weeks ago, but did not observe her actually laying her eggs! Tomorrow I will look for more!
Also, as I drove from southern Wisconsin to St. Louis today, I observed about 30 adult monarchs flying (separately) about 30 feet above the highway. Most were flying east. Is it migration time?
