Number of ruby throats stated is only approximate. I am sure that I have three adult males,but there may be four. Have seen at least two juvenile males. They are so active that it is impossible to make an accurate count. I have five 3 oz. Perky Petfeeders,which I am refilling every other day. They are also nectaring from the mandevillas and streptocarpella flowers planted in containers on my deck. The hummers are staying very busy feeding and chasing each other from dawn to past dusk. After having less hummers than in recent years visiting my flowers and feeders,the population has increased to more than usual during the past couple of weeks.
