This is the only Monarch butterfly I have seen this summer! I could have missed some but am in my front yard by the flowers to water every day or other day. This butterfly I felt must have come thru my yard to lay eggs on the 1 milkweed that is growing in my front yard ~ and sure enough it did ~ I saw about 12-15 eggs, but when I looked 5 days later, eggs were gone and only 2 tiny catepillars were left. so I did research, brought them in. 1 died in couple days but the other is thriving and 4-5 times it's growth in just 7-8 days! I hope to be able to release it once it's in butterfly mode!
