Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/13/2016

Number: 6

Released three new monarchs today, all raised from eggs collected over a month ago. All Males, as were the two released earlier.......
Also saw three monarchs on the back hill area, very fresh. My guess is that they will be sexually mature and will try to breed a fourth generation.
Weather has been fantastic this summer; lots of warm temperatures and good rainfall; lots of milkweed.....even now much of it is in tender condition.
Our main population should emerge from August 25-September 10.
I expect higher sightings in the next few days. Very few for the last week or so.
