Two adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds arrived today. This is the area just west of Austin, Texas and has been occupied by Black-chinned Hummingbirds since mid-March. The Black-chinned males seem to have departed ahead of the cool front that arrived two days ago. Unable to get photographs of the Ruby-throated hummers, due to rain, but will try to photograph when rain stops.
