As I was looking out a window, I noticed one monarch in our butterfly garden visiting a butterfly bush. I went outside with my camera and followed it as it flew to our backyard near the lake where we have wild milkweed plants. I took several photos as it visited several milkweed plants. I did find one egg on one plant. The other plants were further down a steep hill and I was unable to reach them.

This is only the 4th Monarch I have seen in our backyard since July.
