The caterpillar – which I reported on 7/28/2016, captured, and since raised in my home on potted swamp milkweeds – J-hooked on 8/7, emerged as a chrysalis on 8/8, and emerged as a male Monarch butterfly this morning (8/17/2016). It has been resting on a bouquet of cut flowers today and we will release it outside tomorrow morning.
