Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 08/19/2016

Number: 2

Still seeing my two resident male RT hummers. All I have to do is look out any window to see a chase. They chase each other and any bird that gets too close to their flowers, feeders or perches. Yesterday, I saw a male chase away a chickadee who tried to get some nectar from "his" feeder. Today, I saw one chase a titmouse just because he was too close to his perch. They went round and round in circles around the trellis' in my garden. The little hummer was relentless and the titmouse eventually gave up and flew away. It's so much fun to watch them, I love this time of year!!!
