Mated pair, designated so because of the aerial "tag" they played periodically as mated couples usually do. At 11:30 am there was only one female, the one that slept over in the pecan tree from yesterday. She disappeared for a few hours, then returned, accompanied by the male. No absolute proof that the female is the same one that arrived yesterday but given that these are the only two butterflies here today, with the one that "discovered" my yard just yesterday, I'm willing to bet the farm on it, that she's the same gal that showed up yesterday. Other gals wouldn't know where this is yet.
