Saw this Monarch yesterday and today at our Monarch Way station. Almost seemed like the butterfly was staking out its territory and chasing off other insects. He/she was definitely not interested in leaving the area around the garden which is full of milkweed and nectar plants. We just created this butterfly garden in the Spring, so it was magical to see that our garden has been "discovered"!
