Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/23/2016

Number: 5

We have spotted five Ruby-throatd Hummingbirds at our feeders today feeding from our feeders and nectaring from the many flowers in our backyard. They are especially fond of the large zinnia flower garden that my husband plants every spring. We also see them nectaring from blooms on three Rose of Sharon bushes that we have in the backyard, also. Occasionally they also feed from the various petunias that we have in hanging pots there as well. We enjoy watching them feeding, chasing one another from dawn until dusk, and occasionally sitting on two little swings that we have hanging from our patio. We will miss them SO much when they leave to head south!!!
