Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/08/2016

Number: 10

First real sighting this summer. Small young birds, no mature males, some binds did not appear familiar with feeders. Since then, intense activity through August 23, including some mature males, but mostly smaller birds, without striking red chest feathers. Some are territorial, but no serious fights as yet. Still good flowering plants, so feeders are added interest, not only interest. Sightings increase to 1-2 birds every 5-10 minutes at two feeders all day.
