I saw 2 monarchs in my backyard this afternoon, a fresh looking male and a female (didn't get close enough to see her condition) that was laying eggs on my very mature common and swamp milkweed. I found 1 egg and brought it in to raise, but I know she laid more. I have been seeing 1 or 2 adults each day for the last few weeks, and am also finding the occasional larva, including a fifth instar yesterday on swamp milkweed.
