Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/24/2016

Number: 25

We live on a hill side near Leakey, Texas. which is located in the Frio River Valley which seems to be a major migration route for hummers.

We have 6 feeders and it looks like they are averaging about 5-6 bird during the evening feeding period before they nest. Over the summer we mostly had Black Chin sightings and one and two Rufous's. Just the past two weeks however, we're starting to see more and more Rubies.

So the migration south must be starting.
