The second of two eggs – which I reported on 7/28/2016, captured, and since raised in my home on potted swamp milkweeds – hatched on 7/30 (as caterpillar #09), J-hooked on 8/11, emerged as a chrysalis on 8/12, and emerged as a male Monarch butterfly this morning (8/21/2016). He will be released outside tomorrow as the weather is pretty nasty today.
