Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/25/2016

Number: 1

As someone commented on your Facebook page, they're coming in waves now, consuming 1.5 gallons of sugar-water just yesterday. A count is impossible, as they are on both front and back porches. Large numbers wait in neighboring bald cypress, apple, American redbud, and Bradford pear trees for access to nectar and flowers. We're seeing a steady stream of birds coming over our north woods unto the meadows to east and west of our house. Incredible numbers! Very few males now. In the 16 years we've owned this farm, we've not witnessed numbers like this!
