I am pretty sure I saw at least 1 male. I saw our Injured hummer was still around. He or she is missing one leg and the other is badly mangled. We call it tanglefoot. The poor thing can not land. It nestles itself in the crook of a soft bunch of leaves. It does a pretty good job surviving with such an injury. We have three feeders, so it can always get nectar. Plus we have a myriad of flowers hummingbirds love. We hope it comes back next year. Otherwise we can not tell one hummingbird from another. We do have baby hummers feeding too.
