I am seeing lots of caterpillars, have taken some in to raise when they are near mowing or more than one egg on a leaf. It started around Aug 1 and has been hot and heavy for 3 weeks now. I am finding way more than last year and last year was very good. Right now i have eggs and caterpillars of all sizes on the milkweed on my property. Many have already completed their cycle and emerged as butterflies in the last week or so.
