I've seen a few adult Monarchs--one I watched deposit lots of eggs in my milkweed patch. I also have at least a dozen caterpillars, in varying stages of growth in that same patch. I'm sure there are some that I haven't been able to spot. Plus, on the 23rd I saw a newly emerged Monarch female at about 9 a.m. She was sitting in the morning sun, still drying her wings, and her body was still a bit on the swollen side.
