Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/24/2016

Number: 1

Solo individual, early in season, male.

Site has potential to be a hotspot later in the season, as it is a large open sloped field near Lake Champlain, bordered by a corn field, two tree lines, and a partial tree line adjoining a dirt road (Arnold Bay Road), with plenty of interspersed milkweed patches.

Also a good site for Colias eurytheme and philodice, as there is a big field of alfalfa between the milkweed and the corn.
