Monarch Waystation #299 report:
At about 9:20 am I passed the Children's Learning Garden at the Virginia Living Museum and noticed a small female balancing atop a tropical milkweed. As I got closer, I could see she was laying several eggs very carefully on the flower buds. I had to keep walking on by. When I was near the garden again later in the afternoon, a female of the same size was still flying around in the vicinity of the garden. Horticulture staff told me they've seen egg laying going on during the week.
