Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/26/2016

Number: 3

3 adult male RTH hummers spotted this morning. Undoubtedly there are more hummers as we have seen 2 or 3 females and immature male. One of 3 males was partial albino adult male again this morning. He showed up a few days ago. He was nectaring on black and blue salvias this a.m. 1 male loves to perch on top of a shepherd hook that has a pinch-waist feeder on it.

They are all battling for nectar feeders and flowers. Hummers strongly prefer pinch-waist feeder located at left corner of our patio. Lots of feeding again on Wendy's Wish salvias, black and blue salvias, firecracker flower blossoms and very occasionally on agastache (orange fluted blossoms) and infrequently on salmon fuschia. Hummers had ignored flowers for several days.
