Happy to report seeing quite a number of Monarchs along the north and west of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, specifically Ashland, Center Harbor, Meredith, and Laconia New Hampshire.

These monarchs were seen at or near milkweed by the side of the road, as I was driving. I pulled over or got out of the car to confirm each sighting. I saw close to three dozen monarchs over a course of five days, Aug. 18-Aug. 22. Some were individuals and a few were a grouping of several, namely two and three at a time.
