THE MONARCH WAS MY 3RD SIGHTING BUT THE FIRST ON THIS WEEK.
It was fluttering in and out of the asclepius plants near my window. It would nectar a bit on the flowers, then sit on a leaf a while.
The a bee/wasp of some kind came to the same flower and the butterfly flew away. Hasn't been back.
Smart butterfly!
I have seen some pests on the plant but I just remove by hand or spray with water. So far, the plant looks clean.
