Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 08/22/2016

Number: 4

This beauty is a Hatch Year male Ruby-throated hummingbird with one ruby gorget feather. I named him Adam because the feather is right where an Adam's Apple would be!

I recently had to put out a second feeder to keep up with the demand for nectar. I have watched my hummers closely this summer and noted many individuals based on feeding styles, body shapes, and feather patterns.
