Spotted 1 Monarch, that laid eggs on common milkweed in our garden. Had about a dozen eggs that all hatched, but due to bad weather we put the remaining 5 cats in to a 12" cube cage. 5 made it to cocoon stage, but one went back down to eat and ended up starting to cocoon on the floor. We were too late to save it. 4 hatched and were released. 1 on 10th Aug, 2 on 11th and the last on the 12. 2 male and 2 female. From egg to Butterfly was quite a bit longer than I'd been reading. spotted another on the 13th Aug, but could have been one of our releases.
