I had seen a monarch earlier in the day flying thru a strip mall parking lot. Later in the day I checked the milkweed that grew on the edge of the parking lot and found two eggs. Don't know if the butterfly seen earlier laid them but its a good possibility. There has not been a lot of monarchs around here this summer.
