Monarch Egg Sighted

Date: 08/28/2016

Number: 6

Observed monarch laying eggs in suburban backyard. Visited several species of milkweed including A. curassavica, A. verticillata, A. incarnata. Eggs were found on the first two but I stopped looking, probably many more, I observed over 15 minutes. Exhibited preference was for plants that had fewer aphids for laying eggs.
